The 12Cr1MoV steam conduit is an important bearing pressure part in thermal power plant, and its security is of vital importance. The welding of the 12Cr1MoV steam conduit is one of the most important welding part in thermal power plant.The different welding bevels of the 12Cr1MoV steam conduit were chosen and welding procedure test and the heat treatment craft experiments were done in this article. The influence rule of the backing welding layer of the manual TIG backing welding on welding performance, of the electric welding packing layer and the covering layer on organization performance and of the heat treatment procedure on grain refinement, were found by testing the welding appearance, the welded joint internal quality and mechanics performances and analyzing microscopic organization of the welding joint under the different welding parameters (welding current, welding voltage, welding speed, Gas Flowing rate) conditions. The best welding craft of the electric welding packing layer and the covering layer, the best heating treatment craft parameters and the best welding craft of the manual TIG backing welding were obtained and then were analyzed in the article. At last, the qualified weld joint was obtained using the above best welding procedure and heat treatment craft, and the augmented capacity retrofit of the unit was completed smoothly.
