| This paper prepared N,N-Dis(o-oxy-acetale)benzylethylenediamine ligand (L) byo-Formylphenoxyacetic acid and ethylene diamine. The complexes Zn(II)L·H2O(1)Co(II)L·H2O (2) were synthesized by the ligand(L) and the Zinc(II) dichloride,Cobalt(II)dichloride respectively in water solvent, while the complexCu(II)ClL1·2H2O(3)(L1= N-(o-oxy-acetale)benzylethylenediamine), not Cu(II)L·H2O, wasobtained after the reaction of ligand(L) and Copper(II) dichloride in water solvent, andZn(II)L·CH3OH (4) was prepared by o-Formylphenoxyacetic acid, ethylene diamine andzinc(II) dichloride through one-step procedure in methanol. The ligand and their metal complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, H 1NMR and FT-IR spectroscopy, the structures of the complexes were determined by singlecrystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The results of the single crystal X-ray diffraction analysisare that the structures of the complexes Zn(II)L·H2O(1), Zn(II)L·CH3OH (4) andCo(II)L·H2O (2) are similar, they are six-coordinated with single molecular of hexadentateSchiffbase ligands ,and the metal ions(Zn(II), Co(II)) exhibit a distorted trigonal prismaticcolumn geometry. In the crystal geometry of complex Cu(II)ClL1·2H2O(3), the complex isfive-coordinated, and the environment aroud copper(II) ion is square pyramid geometry.Because of the weak coordination between the copper(II) ion and the OW2 molecule, thestructure tends to quasi-octahedron geometry with six-coordinated. There are two independent molecules of Zn(II)L (or Co(II)L ) and two water moleculesin one asymmetric unit of complex 1(or 2), the crystal structure of Cu(II)ClL1·2H2O consistsof one molecule of Cu(II)ClL1 and two water solvate molecules in the asymmetric unit, while the Zn(II)L·CH3OH (4) comprises of one molecule of Zn(II)L and a methanolmolecule in per unit. In the packings of complexes 1 and 2, the C-H···π and C-H···O interactions stabilize the twocomplexes in a 2D sheet like configuration, while only C-H···O interactions existed in complex 4to form the same configuration. The packing of complex 3 are connected with the varioushydrogen bonds among the molecules, especially the molecules OW1,OW2 and Cu(II)ClL1. We cooperated with the others in studying the biology activity of the complexesCo(II)L·H2O and Cu(II)ClL1·2H2O simply. |
