This thesis studied the visbreaking technique used in Nanyang deoiled asphalt to produce heavy fuel oil. It can resolve the problem of deoiled asphalt's using direction due to deep processing in Nanyang Wax Fine Chemical Plant. Through the analysis of Nanyang crude oil's property and visbreaking principle, it ensures feasibility for Nanyang deoiled asphalt's de-adhesive cracking. The react rule, influence factor and coking rule have been got from intermission style visbreaking laboratorial unit. By practicing in the unit, searching and adjusting the direct affective process conditions such as reaction temperature, the amount of pouring water, and technical reforming, the operation conditions were determined for large scale industrial production of the deoiled asphalt visbreaking unit. The conflict between deviscosity and coking was well solved. The viscosity of the deoiled asphalt decreased greatly as well as the blending amount of the light oil. Meanwhile the safety, stability, reliability and the energy-consuming level increased markedly resulting in great benefits. Since the raw material of the visbreaking unit of the world generally was vacuum residual or the mixture of vacuum residual and deoiled asphalt, this thesis studied the success of the industrial production of the visbreaking unit fed on Nanyang deoiled asphalt. The technique was unique both in domestic and foreign industrial production. The success of the first visbreaking unit using pure deoiled asphalt as feedstock accumulated valuable experiences for the development of visbreaking technology, and made it possible for the united process of the distillation unit, deasphalting unit and visbreaking unit to deal with heavy oil in a new approach.
