As a kind of slowly biodegradable compound, if LAS is treated by traditional physical, chemical or biological technologies, the cost is high and removal efficiency is limited.Ultraviolet photocatalytic oxidation process has a lot of advantages over otherprocesses, including high oxidation ability, low selectivity, complete reaction and nowaste produced, etc. It can be used for the treatment of non-biodegradable compoundsand has become a kind of efficient method for wastewater treatment. In this study, artificial oilfield produced water with high LAS concentration and bathingwastewater from student dormitory were treated by UV/H2O2, respectively. Thefactors affecting removal efficiency, such as amount of H2O2, pH, the time of lightradiation and UV power density, were studied and discussed, too.The treatment result of UV/H2O2 process in this study is satisfying: with initial LAS600mg/L, the amount of H2O2 0.6ml/L, pH 3.5, the UV power density0.7512(mw/cm2), reaction time 30min,the total COD and LAS removal efficiencywere 77.1% and 92.8%, respectively;with intial LAS of the bathing wastewater100~130mg/L, the amount of H2O2 1.0ml/L, pH about 7, the UV power density0.7512(mw/cm2), reaction time 20min, the total COD and LAS removal efficiencywere 27.8% and 85.6%, respectively.Based on the law of UV/H2O2, correlation of residual LAS concentration andoxidization time was analyzed using univariate regression equation. Meanwhile, thekinetic model was developed, too.
