The intensity of vitrified bonder is affected by the granularities of stuffingmaterials. When granularities of stuffing materials is smaller, it can enlargespecific surface area of stuffing materials, so it can react easily on bondingmaterials, so corundum can be liquated more and can strengthen the intensity ofsample. If the granularities of stuffing materials are far more smaller can makestuffing materials is lack of bonding materials and reduce the strength ofbonding. Al2O3 is achieved when add Al for bonding materials through fritting.Al2O3 can flux into bonding materials, and strengthen the glass network .Ifbonding materials is pre-sintered, bonding materials can liquate partly, thepercentage of gas can be reduced and compact network is achieved. When thetemperature of pre-fritting is high excessively, the fluidity bonding materials isbad. The intensity of bonding materials is reduced. The main purpose of thisdissertation is to enhance the properties of vitrified bonder by adjustinggranularities of stuffing materials, adding metallic additives such as Al, Fe, Cuand changing temperatures of pre-fritting. The behaviors of samples werestudies by means of XRD and SEM.The experimental results show that:The strength of bonding materials were affected by varying the granularityof stuffing materials but no apparent effect could be found for maintaining timeof pre-fritting preparation. The percentage of granularity of stuffing materialvaried at different pre-fritting temperature when the maximum bondingintensity was achieved.The intensities of vitrified bonding materials was obviously changed byadding metallic additives such as Al, Fe, Cu etc. The intensities varied with thecontent and the types of additives. The addition of Al could strengthen theintensities.The bonding intensities of vitreous bonding materials was influenced bythe pre-fritting preparation. The intensities of vitreous bonding materialsbending changed with different temperature. The highest bending intensity wasachieved at the pre-sintering temperature of 900℃.
