The cotton pulp black liquid wastewater is degraded by electrochemical oxidation in the three-phase three-dimensional electrode reactor in this thesis. The effects of operating conditions on the oxidation efficiency of organic pollutants, such as cell voltage, electrolyte concentration, wastewater concentration, activated carbon packed weight, initial pH, residence time and aeration were also investigated. The experimental results show that aeration has the most notable impact the reaction and when at 0.3 m3/h has the best result. Impulse of the reaction voltage is the secondary determinant factor on the reaction and when it reaches 20V a comparatively perfect result would be got. The acidic media is favorable for the oxidation of organic pollutants due to the formation of strong oxidant such as hydrogen peroxide, the best initial pH is 2. Activated carbon packed weight is another notable factor on the reaction and the oxidation ratio can be improved rapidly with the increasing of the activated carbon bipolarized. The best packed weight is 125g/L. When dealing with the high concentration wastewater also get a high removal rate of COD, so this reactor has a high applicability. The cost increases along with the residence time so the best residence time is 60 to 90 min. The COD depletion is a pseudo-first-order reaction. Three kinds of activated carbons are tested in this paper and the activated carbon which has high adsorbability and high mechanical intensity is more suitable for this reactor. In addition, Multiphase-catalysis is coupling in on the basis of the experiment above. The result shows that the best results are at the 1000mg/L of FeSO4, pH of 2. When the proportion of COD:H2O2:FeSO4 goes to 4:4:3 a best result will appear in the experiment of multiphase and multielement catalysis. The COD depletion also follows the pseudo-first-order reaction, and the reaction rate is faster than that of the former.
