Simulating and predicting the water quality is an important method for researching on behavior of contamination in water environment, and it provides science evidence for successfully accomplishing the tasks about water environment. On the one hand, visualization of water quality shows actual information with diagram based on GIS and MATLAB for help governors to grasp these. On the other hand, displays information of water quality models through rapid and intuitionistic for help governors to hold its future change. The paper studies application of some reach model and Artificial Neural Network based on Simulink through material example and exploitation visual system of water quality by participating in the program of South-to-North Project in East Section, consulting a lot of the documents and summarizing methods for Simulating and Predicting Water Quality and its visualization.During study on simulating and predicting the water quality, the paper emphasis studies constructing water quality model based on Simulink6.0 by carry through beneficial attempt on establishing model, and discusses application of the new method through example. The results of study illustrate that the method based on Simulink6.0 has some use value for simulating and predicting water quality and provide new ideas and methods for the following tasks. The paper mainly discusses developing visualization system by using Visual Basic, MapObjects and MATLAB during discussing visualization of water quality. This system includes five function module: GIS module, two-dimension visual module, three-dimension visual module, value module of water quality and analysis module of water quality, and realizes evaluating water quality through online and displaying result in real time. These studies illustrate that the results of visual system based on GIS are accurate, reasonable and credible. The visualization technique provides the effective and economic decision-making information for the administration branch of environment concerned, so it have better appliance foreground.
