Research And Design Of Open CNC System Based On SERCOS

CNC system is the computer system that can process high precision and complex part by controlling traditional machine tools. SERCOS (SErial Real-time Communication System) is the serial real-time communication fieldbus between digital controller and servo-driver. Many manufactors widely support it, because it is the only international standard (IEC61491) and only national standard of China (GB/T18473-2001). The CNC system which uses industrial computer as hardware platform, uses Windows operating system as software platform and uses SERCOS as digital servo-driver interface possess strong function, good Human-Machine interface, expansibility, transplantable, manipulable, interchanging, reusable and easy maintenance, therefore, it becames one direction of the Open-CNC system development. Furthermore, Open-system structure is easy to implement computer integration manufacture system (CIMS) in the factorys, and realize the industrial information. According to Open-CNC development direction of current world, researching and developing the Open-CNC system which adopts SERCOS as digital servo-driver interface and bases on Windows operating system. To these difficult problems in the course of development such as coding, tool compensation, speed control, interpolation and real-time control, this paper provides proper resolvents.
