Different kinds of lkg batch Al-Ti-B, Al-Ti-B-Re and 20kg batch Al-Ti-B-Re master alloy refiners have been fabricated by casting of pure titanium particale method. The microsture and refining effect of master alloy refiners according to different technological parameter was studied. Through different kinds of processing parameters and its effects we fabricated a kind of 20kg batch Al-Ti-B-Re master alloy refiner with effective refining property based on technological parameters of lkg batch Al-Ti-B-Re master alloy refiner. According to production condition in northwest Alumimuim fabrication Branch Company of Lanzhou Alumimium co. Ltd. the 20kg batch Al-Ti-B-Re refiner ingot was changed into refiner wire of 9.5-mm diameter by extrusion and drawing. Compared with foreign Al-Ti-B master alloy the refiner wire was added in 1235 alumimium alloy and we got its industrial valuation.During the course of experimentation, the effects and influence of different kinds of processing parameters to morphology and distribution of the second phases was researched by some detection methods such as metallographic examination, X-ray analyse and ICP analyse. The results indicated that the superheating temperature of aluminum melt, the holding temperature, the holding time and the stiring conditions etc. have strong influence to the morphology, size, and disrribution of the second phases of the master alloy refiners. Compared to the lkg batch Al-Ti-B-Re master alloy refiner, holding time was the main processing parameter factor of 20kg batch Al-Ti-B-Re master alloy refiner.During the refining experimentation, the refining effects of different kinds of master alloys such as the Al-Ti-B, the Al-Ti-B-Re and the foreign Al-Ti-B was compared and analysed. It was found that the refining effect of the imported Al-Ti-B master alloy on the pure Al has superiority over Al-Ti-B, the refining effect of the Al-Ti-B-Re on the pure Al has superiority over imported Al-Ti-B and the the refining effect of the Al-Ti-B-Re1# on the pure Al has superiority over Al-Ti-B-Re2#.The 20kg batch Al-Ti-B-Re master alloy refiner was compared to the foreign Al-Ti-B master alloy refiner through industrial valuation of refining effects on the 1235 aluminium. The results showed that both of the refiners have proximate refining effects and the aluminium foil, which added in the 20kg batch Al-Ti-B-Re master alloy refiner, attained the requirement of the GB standard.
