| Sheet metal was a great part of mechanical products. All the work including calculation, baiting and nesting had been done through manual labor in the traditional sheet-metal design. Although satisfied results could be achieved, it need long working cyclic and the high labor intensity. Contributed to the development of the CAD technology, complete sheet-metal modular towards the common sheet-metal construction in practice was successfully developed in this study using the software engineering with CAD technology.The process and method of the development of auto-optimization in sheet-metal unfolding nesting based on the Pro/ENGINEER technology were analyzed in this paper.Firstly, the current development situation of the sheet-metal nesting technology was introduced in this paper. The coherent theoretical basis was discussed further. Meanwhile, intelligent and heuristic algorithms of nesting, such as Genetic Algorithm and Simulated Annealing, in the advanced area of artificial intelligence were also discussed.Then, the pattern of the development of Pro/TOOLKIT, the quadratic developed tool of Pro/ENGINEER, was analyzed. Pro/TOOLKIT and the powerful developing tool of the object oriented (VC++6.0) were used to do the quadratic development of the sheet-medal nesting modular under the circumstance of Pro/ENGINEER. The coding and debugging of the program of the sheet-medal nesting modular were finished and successfully operated. The ability of engineering practice has been improved.Finally, satisfied result was achieved through comparing the nesting using the improved modular based on the Pro/ENGINEER to the nesting using the modular of the Pro/ENGINEER. |
