During the process control, a majority of temperature controllers use the PIDcontrol arithmetic . It is one of the control policy which are developed earliest and usedthe most widely. Its excellences are the arithmetic is simple ,strong robust and highreliability. Because the controlled subject during production are often seriousnon-linearity and various disturb, the PID controller can't meet satisfying control result.During these years, fuzzy logic control has made huge success. It has been widely usedin industry automatization,intellectualized apparatus,robot control and home wiring.We can only care for the target not the systemic mathematics model when we controlby fuzzy logic. So the control system has not sensitivity about the parameter changeand has strong robust. Fuzzy logic control can overcome non-linearity by virtue ofquick response and is used widely during the process control.The target of this paper is using the knowledge of MCU ,the theory of the fuzzylogic control and the strong emulational function of the software MATLAB to realizethe temperature control of the metal heat treatment. Thus, we don't need erect aaccurate arithmetic model and only summarize the language control rules by theoperator experience and data. So it can avoid the unsureness and imprecision.A fuzzy logic control and multi-temperature setting temperature control systembased on MCU is introduced. The article discusses the fuzzy control system for heattreatment stove temperature using single-chip microcomputer based on the fuzzycontrol technology. The system is composed of MCU,the thermal resistance and A/Dconverter. The system uses the method of fuzzy logic control and multi-temperaturesetting through software programming. It makes the temperature rise process moreaccurate and the temperature rise curve more linear. And the fuzzy control principle andmethod are presented. The fuzzy control rules and output tables are expatiated. Thedesign is simple,convenient,intuitional and it has high degree of accuracy andresponse.Temperature control system by MCU is a control issue which we can often meetduring the industrial manufacture. Such as we supervise and control the temperature ofall kinds of heat treatment stove,reaction stove and boiler. It is simple,convenient andflexible if we use MCU to control them.We use DELPHI to make the application program. In DELPHI, we installed theactivex control component(MSCOMM) of VB, and then we can enable PC and MCUcommunicate each other. The system is a test&control system based on the RS232serial communication.During the design of the whole system, the key during the heat process is that weshould achieve the definite temperature in every time point, because the heat time andthe temperature are enacted. So the heat pulse breadth is different in every time point.The output pulse breadth by MCU is changing along with the time. When the actualtemperature is not equal with the definite temperature, the system will fuzzy logiccontrol.The application result proves that this system is more accurate and faster than thetraditional control system using PID adjuster. It show that this controller arithmetic isvery high performance and strong robust in the heater control with long time delay andinertia system. Based on the data, the data error don't beyond 1℃. It has high stabilityand accuracy for this inertia system.
