The apportionment of particulate matter in Luojia industrial area ambient air of Nanchang city has been performed for the first time by academic desingning, local samples collecting, laboratory analysising and model calculating etc. The samples of PM10 were collected at two sites: Nanchang steel company of Environmental Monitoring Station, Luojia industrial area of He village. At the same time, the samples of five sources were collected, such as soil dust, coal smoke dust, steel dust, building material dust and traffic dust. Nine elements such as Ca, Mg, Al, As, Fe, Mn, Pb, S and Ti in both ambient and sources were measured by ICP-AES.On the basis of the Chemical Mass Balance (CMB) model for Nanchang city was developed. And the contribution rates of five sources to PM10 were got through model calculating: coal smoke dust was 32%, building material dust was 22%, steel dust was 16%, soil dust was 13%, traffic dust was 8%, and ect.dust was 9%. On this basis, dust pollution control countermeasures for various kinds of sources have been presented respectively. The results indicate, CMB is a reliable model for sources apportionment and outcomes are in accord with what it is. The research affords valuable references for making the emphasis on particalute matter pollution treatment, making effect environmental management and scientifical decision.
