Nanometer material has become a very important research object. It will do a great deal to the future economics and society. Generally, nano-particles are tiny solid particles whose particle-size is l~100nm.They have particular characters in physics and chemistry .So nanometer material will be a very brilliant application foreground.All the nanometer powders are prepared by some methods .And every method has its merits and defects. Precipitation method is the one that uses widely in preparing nanometer metal oxide .It utilizes varied substances which are soluble in the water. These substances create new water-fast materials via some reactions . According to the object product can obtain by decomposing new materials when heating them or not. This method is can be uses to prepare single or multiple component powders. And because of simple process, low-cost, this method can be convenient to extend industrialization . But it also has its disadvantages .Because precipitation is colloidal, it is very hard to filtrate .Because ammonia method is a method of handy operation , facile raw materials, low-cost, high-pure product. And it can be convenient to extend industrialization .But during the process of preparation, every phase may appear reunited structure. How to reduce reunited structure has become a key problem. The dissertation studied different desiccation methods. And eventually chose freeze-drying method. Also author selected some surfactants to reduce reunited structure. It will be a good deal to the industrialization of nanometer MgO. Further, the author studied some practical applications of nanometer MgO. Besides, the dissertation prepared other nanometer oxide. The dissertation includes 4 chapters:In the first chapter, It summarized characteristic of nanometer powders, preparation methods of nanometer oxide, desiccation methods, decentralization methods, et al.
