C/C composite materials have many properties — high intensity, high stiffness, low density, high temperature resistant and so on. It is the base of energy, computer technology, communication, laser and space technology. C/C composite material has important meaning in modern industry, national defence and high-tech. In this study, the preparation of C/C composite material through one step was studied. This method predigested the technics and shortened periods of production. And primary work are as follows.1. The composition and structure of AR mesophase pitch were studied by the means of elemental analysis, FT-IR, polarized light microscop with hot-stage and so on. Carbon fiber was obtained through melt-spinning, oxidization, carbonization from mesophase pitch. As a result, AR mesophase pitch have good spinnability at 360℃, and low temperature, low press and high rotate speed gave fiber good capability. Carbon fiber got maximal intensity which was 2.246Gpa while the oxygen content was 7.25%. The cross section of carbon fiber was onionskin and onionskin-radiation.2.
