Along with the advancement of polymer molding technology, screw extruders have been promoted rapidly and have been playing an important role in the polymer molding field since almost a century ago. The triple-screw extruder with triangle configuration is a new thing original in extrusion machine. The unique extrusion characteristics and running mechanism make triple-screw has great advantage in such ways as polymer blending, improved performance and high concentration color batch.But the research about the triple-screw extrusion technology has not gone deep into by now.The three dimension flow field in the triple-screw extruder with triangle configuration is the research objects, including velocity field, pressure field and shear rate field etc. simulate the representative flow field in metering section of the triple-screw extruder, consisted with three-thread element with pitch 75mm, at 60, 120, 180, 240 and 300rpm. Analyze the regulations in flow field and especially the role of the unique center zone about the transportation and pressure building capacity.
