In this paper, the thermodynamic framework of GAX cycle was studied, and the absorption/generation union was designed. The performance of GAX cycle was evaluated compared with the experimental study of single stage cycle.By means of the α-h diagram, the thermodynamic structure of the single stage cycle and the GAX cycle were investigated. It is found that the exergy demand of the heat pump subcycle in the GAX cycle is as the same as in the single stage cycle, however, the energy cascading use and the exergy coupling framework of the heat engine subcycle in GAX cycle is retrofitted. Thus, the exergy loss is reduced in the GAX cycle and an increased benefit is obtained in it.The study on the influence of T_H, T_M, T_L, and the energy coupling framework of the heat engine subcycle on the performance of GAX cycle shows that the heat engine subcycle has a key point which can maintain a high performance in GAX cycle; there is an optimal T_H considered the interact of the theoretics separation work in the rectifying tower and temperature lap between absorber and generator; and the co become lager...
