| Preparing nanocomposites by adding montmorillonite (MMT) into polymer matrix, which can increase the physical and mechanical properties of materials with a low MMT content, has attracted much attention in recent years. To prepare polymer/montmorillonite nanocomposites, one method often used is melt compounding. This processing method is simple and easy to be industrialized. By this method, however, the dispersibility of MMT and even the properties of composites are easy to be affected by some factors such as modifier of MMT and processing technic. Therefore, PA610 has been chosed as matrix, in this paper, and a series of PA610/MMT nanocomposites which with excellent performance have been prepared with different MMT modified by varied organic substance and by different processing methods. The prepared nanocomposites have been modified by radiation. This is the first time that radiation has been used in the field of modifying polymer/montmorillonite. This paper has studied the properties of PA610/MMT nanocomposites systematically, including mechanical properties, dynamic mechanical property, rheological property, melt and crystal behaviors, crystal form and micro structure. The main results are as follows:1. Different org-MMTs have been prepared by modifying MMT with different modifying agents such as CTAB, PA6 and silane coupling agents. TG, IR and XRD results shows that, comparing with Na-MMT, the thermal decomposition temperature and interlayer spacing of these org-MMTs were increased and be fit for the procession of PA610. The effects of CTAB and PA6 are obvious, but are not so notable by different silane coupling agentsand different modification methods of these agents.2. A series of PA610/MMT nanocomposites have been synthesized with different org-MMTs, or by different processing methods which includes melt compounding, adding silane coupling agents in the course of mixing PA matrix and MMT, and prefabricating... |
