The drilling technique of deep well and ultra-deep well was developed for the exploration of hydrocarbon resources in the very deep formation. In China, Only 25% of the onshore oil and 4% of the natural gas reserves were proved up. 73% of the petroleum resources in Western China, 53% of the natural gas resources in Middle China, were buried in the ultra-deep formation. So the drilling effort for the deep well and ultra-deep well would be increased substantially, especially in the middle and west China. In company with the development of the oil well rig in the direction of deep and ultra-deep well, the original equipment for the drill rig could not meet the request in this drilling operation. This would lead to new problem and accident in the drilling work, which would impact the developing of out national deep drilling rig. The technology of the exploration for the deep and ultra-deep well would be restricted in this way.On the base of above, SWPU united by the Baoji Petroleum Mining Machinery Corporation launched the research of "Study on the wire rope enwinding system of the roller in the ZJ70D drill rig". After this study, they want to make out the improving proposal for the wire rope enwinding system in that rig, so as to make that kind of equipment been used to deep and ultra-deep drilling operation. This paper is part of the research.Based on the differential geometry, mechanical system dynamics, theoretical mechanics, strength of materials and elasticity theory, we made the study for the enwinding system in the roller of the ZJ70D rig. Finally, we solved the equations in the computers. In general, the major results are:(1) Established the geometrical model for the enwinding of the wire rope in the roller, such as the inclination of the wire rope and the climbing equation of roller in the commutation process;(2) Established the tensile force kinetic model for the enwinding wire rope used the Lagrange kinetic equation and the continual kinetic theory in the start up and retard moment. Solved the equations by the method of modal analysis and separation of variables(3) Based on the analysis on the enwinding mechanism of the wire rope, we did the research on the mechanics behavior of the wire rope's enwinding process.(4) According to the research above, we made the computer program to solve the mechanics models. And after parametric analysis, we made the suggestion for the improving of the current wire rope enwinding system.The research here was the primary work of the system dynamics behavior study for the wire rope enwinding system in the ZJ70D rig.
