Study On Comprehensive Utilizations Of Barium Slag

Barium slag is by-product in the manufacture of the barium salt. It belongs to the industrial waste residue. Stack barium discharge may pollute the environment. The healthy was impaired. The soil was occupied. Especially, hydrosoluble barium in the barium slag filtering into the ground-water made the Ba²⁺ excess. This leads to huge harm to the human body. There are many measurements to utilize the barium slag. In order to account for discharge problem radically, the paper puts forwards producing building bricks. There are two questions to be settled down. One is the bricks strength must get to the "standard of un-weight bricks". The other is the density of slag bricks must be lessened.The thesis adopted the solidification of barium residue-slag discharge-cement cal(?)ium oxide-gypsum. By doing a serial of contrastive test and two groups of orthorhornbi(?) test, the optimal proportion of composite material, the ideal additives and the main technique condition were obtained.Basing of laboratory work, the barium slag bricks compressive strength is beyond 10MPa, which intensity is about 1.6g/cm³¹.8g/cm³, the same as fire-clay bricks. Besides water-absorbing percentage was studied. It proved that the bricks have strong anti-water ability. The water-absorbing percentage is below 20%.The relation of between compressive strength and the main stirring agent was obtained. The orthorhombic polynomial regression equation is also obtained by analyzing the results of A group orthorhombic test.Through the SEM test, micro-structure of bricks was studied. Binding the literature, the hardening mechanism of barium slag binding agent is discussed on theory.The over-weight problem of barium slag bricks has been solved in this thesis, which can provide theory evidence to the quantities manufactures.
