Water is a necessary matter in people's produce and living. So, a lot of wastes and injurious substances are introduced into the waters, and the waters is polluted. Water pollution is getting worse and worse. Now, we have to face this austere problem. The relationship between microbes and nutrient matters in the waters has been analyzed, and dynamics of COD degradation in wastewater researched. The water quality system of waters is introduced, and the correlative relationship between COD and BOD5 discussed. Water quality parameters of the drinking water riverhead(Heshangshan of Changjiang in Jiulongpo District of Chongqing City) in 2002-2005 have been analyzed by data processing software. Then multi-element nonlinear relationship between egesta coliform groups and nutrient matters has been studied. The results show that there is a linear relationship between BOD5 and COD at a certain range. The data processing software put four different date result in the same best model of multi-parameter nonlinear relationship between mucky coliform groups (MCG ) and nutrient matters. Theresults are shown that the relative equation between MCG (Y) and BOD5 or COD (X) is Y = a0 +a1X2 + a2X-1 +a3eX + a4 ln X. The relationship between MCG (Y) andpotassium permanganate index ( X1), NH3 -N ( X2), and total phosphor (X3) is following as: Y = a0 + a1X1 +a2X2 + a3X3.Degradation of organic contaminations in the existing of organism is the major part of self-purification activity in wastewater. In this paper, COD as an index to measure polluters in wastewater is chosen. For char and dye printing wastewater, the change of COD with time has been observed. The COD of wastewater is gradually decreased with the increase of time. Kinetic equations of COD degradation to wastewater have been obtained.
