In the recent years, the strata behavior phenomena of coal roadways in Baijiao Coal Mine, Gongquan Coal Mine, Shamushu Coal Mine and Hongwei Coal Mine in Furong Mining Area are very severe. In order to solve the actual promble, the deformation rules of coal roadways surrounding rock, the main causes of affecting strata behavior of coal roadways, the rules of deformationg and the stress distribution of roadway under the satuations of different loads and the effect of mining in each Coal Mine have been researched systematacially, and the rules of strata behavior of coal roadways in Furong Mining Area have been attained, which have been researched by the methods of site investigation, on-the-spot observation, theoretical ansysysis, experimental research and numerical simulation in this paper. On the base of the above, the reasonable layout positions of coal roadways are ascertained, and the conclusions can be a reference to production of Furong Mining Area. The main conclusions in this paper are as follows:(1) The effect of undermining, litho logy, geologic structure and tectonic stress are the primary causes of the strata behavior of coal roadways by site investigation and on-the-spot observation in the 4 Coal Mines of Furong Mining Area.(2) The on-the-spot observation of strata behavior of coal roadways in Furong Mining Area indicates that the deformation of different roadways is great difference under the effect of tectonic stress.(3) Physics mechanics parameters, support parameters, calculational model and its boundary condition of roadway surrounding rock in Furong Mining Area are ascertained by the principle and method of finite element numerical simulation. The rules of strata behavior of coal roadways in 4 Coal Mines are numerical simulated using ANSYS, hence, the distribution rules of displacement, stress and plastic area of roadway surrounding rock and the stress distribution rules of support body are attained.(4) The research indicates that litho logy and the distance between the diroadways and coal seam are the key causes of choosing the position of raising (or descending) tunnel and the tunnels in floor.(5) The research indicates that the raising tunnel should be layed the place to 38.4m of K1 coal seam in gray fine sandstone seam, and the tunnels in floor should be...
