Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons are a group of organic compounds with carcinogenicity mutagenicity and teratogenicity, which have become more and more harmful to human health because of their cumulation in the environment. In this study, on basis of former researches, the rapid and accurate analysis method of PAHs on the ambient airborne particulate and emission sources was set up. Samples of ambient airborne particles and emission sources were collected, and PAHs on them were analyzed systematically. The source apportionment of PAHs in different cite of Jinan City was carried out by by CMB model. The emission sources of PAHs were classified generally for the first time. The source apportionment results were showed completely and established the basis of the pollution controlling of PAHs.In this study, the sampling, separation and analysis of PAHs on the ambient airborne particles, and source apportionment techniques were studied systematically. On basis of former studies and work established, the methods of Soxlet extraction-GC/MS analysis were set up. The samples of ambient airborone particles were collected by high and medium volume sampler, extracted by Soxlet extractors for 12h, cleaned up, and analyzed by GC/MS in the SIM model. The method was fast, steady and had low detect limit. The samples of TSP, PM10, PM2.5 and airborne particles with different diameters were collected at nine optimized sites of Jinan City in heating and non-heating season. On basis of former studies and actual investigation, the main six kinds of PAHs emission sources (coal burning, oil burning, motor vehicles, metallurgy, petrifaction and cooking) were decided, and samples from them were collected respectively. The established method was applied into the analysis of the PAHs in the ambient air and pollution sources in Jinan. It was shown that average concentration of BaP in the ambient air of Jinan was 50.95ng/m~3 and the average concentration of total 16 PAHs was 510.17ng/m~3 during heating season. However, during no heating season, the results were 2.29ng/m~3 and 72.57ng/m~3 respectively. Among the emission sources, the emission concentration of total...
