Water is a valuable resource which human relies upon indispensably. The water of per person was quite scarce, and has been polluted quite seriously in our country. Particularly, lots of wastewater with nitrogen and phosphorus has been discharged into rivers and lakes directly in recent years, which usually causing eutrophietion and leading to the large-scale water bloom and red tide in majority of lakes and coastal waters of China, the water was seriously polluted and the sustainable development of economy was also restricted. Thus, the essential approach to solve the problem of water pollution and nourishment is seeking and developing some suitable innovative processes which could provide multi-benefit including high efficiency, low energy, and low operational fee.Constructed wetland (CW) is a new natural-based sewage treatment technology, which utilizing solar energy and organisms has been developed rapidly, and replaced the situation of traditional energy-intensive technologies gradually. The control of phosphorus content in water is one of the key technologies to prevent nourishment. The fillings of CW do action in phosphorus remove by ways of adsorption, filtration and other physical or chemical processes, so the choice and the quantity of fillings, and the research in the behavior of phosphorus adsorption, are very important in the application of CW. Currently, the solid-liquid adsorption models available are the reference of traditional theory of solid-gas adsorption, which the effect of adsorbent and ion concentrations were not considered in the traditionally defined adsorption isotherm and parameters. The relation among the quantity of equilibrium sorption (qe), the initial concentration of adsorbate (C0), the concentration of adsorbent (W0), and the determination of relevant parameters are not solved in practical applications as well. As to the effect of adsorbent quantity and the concentration of contamination, we usually take the method of determination through lab test or extermination by experience. Therefore, the improving of solid-liquid adsorption theory and the establishment of more scientific and practical models has become the focus of current research in adsorption subject.Take potsherd particles and red soil as medium, the adsorption of phosphorus was studied in this paper through dynamic and static experiments, and the effect of pH and temperature were also discussed.
