The electrostatic layer-by-layer self-assembly multilayer technique, a novel technique, attracts many attentions due to its easy preparation, controllable film thickness, specific structure, and so on. The polyelectrolyte films have been found applications in optical devices, biosensors, bioreactors, filtration, and so forth. Its applications in the controlled release of drug have seldom reported, so in this thesis, self-assembly thin films have been composed and their character was investigated particularly under different experiment conditions. And then we fabricated several drug delivery systems for cefalexinum (Cef) and bovine serum albumin (BSA). It may have some significance to further research the new-style drug delivery systems. The main contents and the results of the work are as follows:1. Polyacrylamide (PAM)/Polyacrylate sodium (PAAS) self-assembly multilayer was fabricated. The effects of the deposition solution concentrations, the different temperature, the dipping time and the ionic strength of the solution were studied by using UV-vis and contact angle. The results showed that the characteristic absorbance and thicknesses of the films increased with the number of bilayers, and the absorbance intensity increased almost linearly with the number of bilayers; thicknesses of the films increased with the deposition solution concentrations, dipping time and ionic strength of the solution, and the three process are homeostasis process; The environmental temperatures of experiment have no obvious effect on the character of the films.2. In this study, Cef have been embeded in polyelectrolyte multilayers (PEM) for the purpose of controlled drug release. Chitosan, polyacylate sodium, and sodium alginate were used as embedding medium to fabricate PEM films with various thicknesses and different drug release properties. The properties of the drug release processes have been characterized by UV-vis, FTIR, and AFM. It was found that the release of Cef from these systems dependented on several parameters such as environmental pH, the drug concentration, the PEM films thickness, and different...
