Being a kind of esters synthesized by high fatty acid and fatty alcohol, wax is widely used in the area of chemistry, textile, commodity, food industry and so on. Oleyl oleate is a kind of liquid wax with special use, which could be used as materials of advanced lubricant and pomade. Now it is mainly used in cosmetics like lipsticks as an important additive. The character and efficacy of oleyl oleate is similar with jojobar oil which is very expensive in today's market .The development of enzyme catalysis in solvent phase accelerated the applicaition of enzyme in the organic synthesis. Now more than ten kinds of enzymes can catalyse in the solvent phase, but lipase was researched mostly. It used lipase catalyzing the esterification of oleyl oleate. The abilities of ester synthesis in solvent phase of 10 different lipases were compared. The results revealed that the lipase from Rhizopus chinensis CCTCC M201021 showed the highest conversion beyond 90%. Various reaction parameters were optimised to obtain high conversion of oleyl oleate. The optimum concentration of substrate was 0.3 mol/L, the best organic solvent was n-hexane, and the suitable water content of lipase was 3%~7.5%. When the molar ratio of oleyl acid/oleic alcohol was 1.5:1, the reaction can get to the highest conversion under the condition of 30 oC and 250 r/min stirring speed. Removing water in the course of reaction in time could make the balance time of reaction decreased by 24 h, and the conversion could reach beyond 90%. Adding oleyl alcohol in the course of reaction in time could make oleyl acid react completely, thus it avoided the waste of oleyl acid and lessen the impurities in product.The results of sense appraisement firstly testified that the effects of oleyl oleate used in cosmetic were better than jojobar oil. The results of vedio contacting angle of creams showed that oleyl oleate had better character of penetration than jojobar oil. It is more comfirmed that oleyl oleate could be instead of jojoba oil to become a new kind of additives in cosmetic.
