In this paper the synthesis of amide wax using oxidized wax and oleic acid is studied. The effects of ratio of raw materials, temperature and time of reaction on product's properties are researched under fixed hexamethylendiamine. The results show that penetration degree of the product can be controlled below 7 and acid number of the product can be kept at about 3(mgK0H/g) while hexamethylendiamine: oleic acid: oxidized wax=29:94.7:58(weight ratio). The appropriate reaction program is to hold the reaction at 150℃ for 3 hours and then at 190℃ for another 3 hours. The methodology of making rice bran wax calcium soap is studied in this paper. The factors influencing the reaction are researched by orthogonal design in this experiment, and the optimal technological condition has been determined eventually. The results show that the reaction can be completed in shorter time and lower temperature while PEG is used as the phase transfer catalyst. The dropping point of product can reach about 165℃, this proves that the method of using PEG as phase transfer catalyst to produce rice bran wax calcium soap is effective. At last a kind of liquid wax for car polish is prepared by selection of different raw materials and proper emulsification process, and a kind of modified wax is used in it to study the effect on properties of product. The results show that its properties reach the same level of state-of-the-art products abroad and the modified wax can substitute carnauba wax in car polish.
