| Based on the literature review and statistic analysis, the generation and management characteristics of industrial hazardous wastes in developed country, and the concept characteristics of wastes are analyzed. The generation characteristics of hazardous wastes are summarized as six characteristics including the complexity of their generators, the orderliness of their quantities, the multiplicity of their categories, the control of their treatment, the disequilibrium of their area distributing, the relevancy between hazardous wastes generation and economy development.The generation characteristics of industrial hazardous wastes in our country are analyzed. It emphasizes that our country should unceasingly pay attention to management hazardous wastes form tradition industries such as chemistry, petrochemistry, machine process, metallurgy and also should attach importance to the management hazardous wastes from high technology manufacturing and hazardous wastes from provinces in the west.
