With the development of the manufacturing industry of China, people pay more and more attention in the manufacturing of turbin disk and blades which are the core parts of power system of engine and turbine, especially to the aero-engine turbine disk which has high level requirement of precision. The skill of machining the mortise and tenon joint of turbine disk and blades has became the sign of manufacturing ability and technical level of an aviation company.This paper studies in the machining process of the mortise broaching on the turbine disk, focus on the subcontract project of Harbin Aviation Industry Group Co. for GE turbine disk. The following conclusion is obtaind: in order to insure the realization of design precision, broaching equipment L6140 is improved. Also, the paper proposes the method of machining process control, analyzes the error of technical system, studies the problem appearing in the machining process and puts forward plans to solve them.Through the survey of turbine disk mortise broaching process, it is known that, in recent time, this machining process normally operates in the high speed broaching machine, especially to the product with big lean angle. But to GE project, because of the limit of the low speed broaching machine that is equipped in Harbin Aviation Industry Group Co. we can't use the normal method to finish this machining process. So, the paper presents a creative idea to use the existing low cost equipment to which proper reform is made in conjuction and with newly designed fixture to machine this product with high quality and high efficiency.The first reform involves mechanical section of the broaching equipment.
