This paper mainly studies NiO-NiFe2 O4 based ceramics inert anode which can replace plain carbon anode material in the aluminum electrolysis.The research is mainly divided into two part first NiO-NiFe2 O4 based anode material was made by the making craft system of the cermet and its figure from column to plank and enlarged and its spec is (160×100×10) mm To the physical volume density pore rate of the material bear causticity and so on carried on a measurement. Second a new kind of cermets used as inert anode for aluminum electrolysis was performed in cryolite-based molten salt with cryolite ratio 2.02.8 and the electrolysis temperature is 960 ℃ 88%NaF ?AlF3+4%MgF2+3%CaF2+5%Al2O3 consist of electrolyte for 10 hours the direct current was set at 100A Obtained the material's resistance to thermal shock and the anti-corrosion the anti- electromotive force of anode in three-poles system and the purity of aluminum and the O2 content within the anode air etc enlarge test has obtained more ideal result it is the good base for the half-industry experimentation.The research of the inert anode material once successful will resolve many problem such as the existent production cost in the current aluminum electrolysis industry thoroughly high the pollution severity efficiency low etc Along with the international community construction economy type and the environmental protection type social step quickly that topic the meaning of the research is very important the power is going necessarily.
