Gear is the basal part of mechanical transmissional. The quality and precision of gear machined have been the key imfluencing mechanical transmissional performance. Modern mechanical development need the hard face gears with high bearing capacity, high precision, high surface quality, low teeth surface roughness. Therefore, Researching a new way of gear machining, improving technique of machining and applying hard face gears into sustaining development of mechanism industry is a problem we are facing.Ultrasonic parallel shaft gear honing is a new way of hard face gears maching. The way is brought forward basing on study of gear machhing long-term. The study of technology is imbursed nation nature science fund.Ultrasonic vibration system is installed at axial direction and gear machined generate high-frequency vibration at axial direction with revolving, which is principle of ultrasonic parallel axes honing. It can increase honing velocity, reduce honing force, conduce cooling, improve gears quality. This paper research and discuss on how to realize technology of ultrasonic parallel shaft gear honing.
