| The local fans which are widely used in underground heading faces are indispensable and important equipments for the mining drivage ventilation. Many important tasks are undertaken by local fans such as providing fresh air for workers, draining gas and bug dust, improving condition of working circumstance and so on. Their running reliability directly affects the underground safety and the economic benefit of coal mine.According to the requirements of coal-mining method ,at present, the excavating working faces of high-production and high-efficiency supplied by 3.3kV power system need new drivage mode, which requires three tunnels ventilation simultaneously. Therefore, six counter-rotating local fans are equiped so as to ensure the heading faces from ventilation broken down together, in which three are running and the others are standby in live. Under the condition mentioned above there are so much disadvantages such as dispersal control equipments, large space occupied, complicated connection, high fault rate and so on which will lead to the suspending power supply to local fans and lead to ventilation to the turnned off planlessly and further result in accumulation of gas. Especially, when local fans are unwatched, it will bring coal mine potential safety hazard. In order to avoid gas accidents and implement modern managing mode from accident investigation to accident prevention, it is important to develop a monitoring and control system for multi-local fans, which make subaerial manager know the fault information and operation parameters of multi-local fans timely, exactly and roundly.A monitoring and control system of multi-local fans in developed is designed for Sihe coal mine of Shanxi Jinchen Mining Corporation Group in this paper.
