With the development of industrial automation, industrial products are developing towards high speed, high efficiency,energy-saving,environmental protection,high automaticity, long performance life, that has put forward higher request to lubricating equipment and lubricating method. As a new technique, the appearance of Oil-air lubrication technology realize oil supply with continuous, quantitative, slow, even, and it also overcome shortcoming of traditional lubricating method, especially applied in rolling mill assembly, it has the better lubricating result and obviously economic performance than other lubricating methods. In the developed countries, Oil-air lubrication had become the best advanced lubricating method and had been applied in numerous industrial field successfully, however, in our country, it is still at an early stage of development. In this paper, the mechanism, effect and structure of Oil-air lubrication system have been studied. The researches have theoretical and realistic significance to accelerating production domesticization and improving national lubricating technique.This thesis analyzed the lubricating mechanism and the principle of operation of Oil-air lubrication system. The physical model, equation of motion, void fraction, density, viscosity and film thickness of Oil-air two-phase fluid has been studied, andwe draw a conclusion that Oil-air lubrication is more effective than the traditionallubrication.For the convenience of understanding the structure and function of the key partsand failure analysis, the thesis did cartoon simulation of the principle of operation ofthe key parts on the basis of FLASH software.This thesis designed five types of Oil-air lubrication system in the light of actualoperating mode, and put forward basis and design method.Short service life is a general problem of tandem roller bearing used in the HotSkin Pass Mill, the thesis proposed Oil-air lubrication method applying to the rollerbearing, and the design and implementation of Oil-air lubrication system has beencompleted, and this lubrication system has been succeed in industrial application.
