The paper is about numerical simulation research on fatigue damage based on energy criteria. At first,the recent progress of energy criteria on the studies of fatigue damage is summarized and the relative fruits and clue of research on it is referred to. Engine criteria is taken as the way of analysis of fatigue damage. Cycle plastic strain energy is taken as the parameter of fatigue damage state and the criteria of crack propagation.Firstly, the specific experimental condition which is refered in existed literature is supposed, then numerical simulation and calculation of fatigue routine experiment is made by ANSYS. The academic results of plastic strain energy of some kind of different materials and the experimental results of fatigue life gived by the literature are synthesized. Then, the universal and quantitative relationship between plastic strain energy and fatigue life is obtained.Next, the experimental results of fatigue damage of thin wall pipe sample with various experimental conditions are analyzed.
