Affer looking up the literatures at home and abroad, the research progress of building putty were realized. The mechanism of polymer modified building putty was researched and S-Ohama model and correlative theory for polymer-modified building putty was put forward.S-Ohama model was based on Ohama model for polymer-modified concrete and mortar, its main idea is that physical and chemistry reaction occur between components of building putty and a polymer film and cement gel form and interlude each other and become a composite film with meshwork.The polymer powder for building putty can be dispersed in water, and react with hydrate product of cement and stuffing, form a kind of composite membrane with a certain mechanics intensity. Wirelike Cellulose distributed in the film make of network microstructure of putty with cement gel.
