Accelerating the rate of reaction in chemical heat treatment, saving carburizing agent and accurately controlling the reaction process is an important way for energy save and quality increase in the chemical heat treatment. A great number of experiments and theoretical analyses in this paper show the advantages which have the new carburizing agents, such as the kerosene-air, methanol-kerosene-air etc, compared with the regular carburizing agents. These new carburizing agents not only have the stability and property apt to be controlled which the carburizing agent-kerosene-methanol process ,but also they are provided with the characteristics such as a great rate of carbon deposition. Besides that, they have a lot of other advantages such as a greater amount of gas produced and more times of gas-change per unit time. The economy of these carburizing agents as well as is obvious, which is more valued for carburization of a deeper layer.Meanwhile, on the base of theory about carbon transferring medium and diffusion in carburizing process, the author of this paper has brought up a new theory of carburization——theory of temperature changing impact carburization and has conducted a deep study for the feasibility of this theory. From this theory has been found a number of main factors (such as the regulation of temperature changing) which forms a regularity of the effect on increasing the rate has quality of carburization. The correctness and feasibility of this theory has been approved theoretically as well as experimentally. Especially, this technological process is easy to be popularized and it is available to be used without reconstruction of the existing equipment.
