Nanosize CdS semiconductor particles and PANI film were synthesized using the solvothermal technique and the electro-chemistry method onto the indium-tin oxide glass (ITO), respectively. The nanoparticles were doped on PANI film by the dipping process, and the self-assembled nanoparticles-PANI composite film was acquired. The photoelectric properties of the self-assembled film were studied by PL and Z-scan methods. The other three nano thin films of α-Fe2O3 ,ZnO and α-Fe2O3-ZnO by doping their powder with crosslinking chitosan were also prepared. The photocatalytic degradation of methylene orange solution have been investigated.The experiment results showed that the inorganic nano-particles and the organic polymers can improve their own optics and photo-degradation properties from each other. For example, fluorescence radiation and nonlinear absorption coefficient can be unambiguously enhanced when decorated PANI film with CdS nanoparticles. Photocatalytic degradation results indicated that α-Fe2O3-ZnO/CCS can enhance the degradation rate of methylene orange to 96.1% by radiating with ultra violet light and the reaction accorded apparently with the-first-order kinetics.Base on the characteristics of chitosan, phosphorylated chitosan caion exchange membrane PCM was prepared. Results indicated that the PCM can be used as separator to produce sodium ferrate flocculent using electro-chemical process; the corresponding swelling indices changed pronouncedly in comparison with the unmodified chitosan membranes. The ionic conductivity of membrane was enhanced when the electrical current density increased.
