Saltwater intrusion is often observed in coastal areas. It is a gradually-developing geo-hazard which would deteriorate the environment It is the mass transport of saline waters into zones previously occupied by fresher waters on account of effects by some natural reasons(e.g. sea level raise) and by anthropogenic factors(mostly groundwater over-drawl).The study area of south Guangrao County is the only shallow reservoir of fresh groundwater in the Yellow River Delta and also a significant economic area with industry and agriculture. Unfortunately, saltwater intrusion happens there as a consequence of over-drawl of fresh groundwater to meet the increasing demand from population growth and industrial and agriculture development since 1970's.The whole saltwater interface (TDS 2000mg/l) moves at an average rate of 46.93m/a from 1980 to 2004. From the prediction analysis the interface will extend along Shicun Town-South of Xiqin Village- North of Shaojia Village-South of Qianyanwang Village-South of Xiaojia Village-South of Iiujia Village-Dongmaowang Village-Beiyukou Village-Yankou Village-Daozhuang Town-North of Gaowan Village -South of Changxingguan Village.Assumed the centers of depressions in 1998 stable and taken them as the reference, the points near Shicun, Beixulou, Yanjakou and Changxingguan on the 1998's interface will move southward at the fastest rate in 2013 and reach to the nearest set reference in 2024, 2019, 2015, and 2018, respectively, and then will stop. The points near Zhangzhuang, Xiajia, Duanhe reaches to the fastest rate before 2013 and arrive to the nearest set reference in 2009, 2011, and 2009, respectively. The point near Xiqin will swing in the future 10 years. The points near Donggao and Qianyan will move southward at a slowly-increasing rate. But in the fact the depressions will expand and the centers will move southward so that the greatest rate of each points on the 1998's interface will be more than...
