Chrome-free tanned pig skin garment leather was studied in this paper. The leather was pre-tanned with modified glutaradehyde, and then tanned with the combination of modified aluminium tanning agent and modified extract SHT. Through the experiments the reaction conditions of each tanning agent were confirmed, and then the tanning capability of the combination tannage between extract and aluminium tanning agent was studied. Based on the results mainly depending on the shrinkage temperature, compared the combination tanning ability of two different tanning process—the SHT-modified aluminium tanned leather pretanned with modified glutaradehyde or retanned with modified glutaradehyde. Through the DSC analysis, the influence of the different sequences of the tannage was studied, and then the tanning process of chrome-free tanned pigskin garment leather was dicided. The results showed that, compared with the modified glutaradehyde retannage, pretanned with modified glutaradehyde could obviously reduced the area shrinkage of leather and shorten the period of production.Studying the fatliquoring capability of 9 kinds of normal fat liquors and 4 kinds of new sulphonated oil fat liquors, investigating the influence of the Ts after fatliquoring through the DSC analysis, and selecting the fat liquors for the chrome-free tanned lether.
