The hematite tailings are the industrial solid waste.The comprehensive utilization of the hematite tailings is very important, because the comprehensive utilization can not only control the cinders pollution, but also recover the resource. The process has good effect for setting and economical benefit.Because the concentrate grade after flotation is not high. It will products a lot of the end mineral and its iron grade is about 43%. And the thin degree of mineral is very thin. If want to achieve the rich purpose to collect the iron through rub the tailing again to separate the silicon and irons from the ore, it is very difficulty and the cost is too expensive. After analysing the material composing of the haematite, the research adopts acid leaching—replacement processes to utilize and reduce resource.The experiment results showed that: in acid pickling process, when reaction temperature is 100℃, the leaching time is 2.5h, mixing speed is 400r/min, the sulfuric acid density of solution is 45% and excess coefficient of sulfuric acid is 1.5, recovery rate of iron from hematite is 82.3%. In reduction processes, when the reaction time is 2h, the reaction temperature is 50℃ and excess coefficient of the iron filings is 1.4, the high-class product can be made. The production accords with the GB10531-89 high-class product standard.The made product is the material of the other irons products. The coagulant of PFS is made through the oxidizing—polymerization process. In the course of experiment, the relation between ratio n (SO427Fe2+) and alkalization of PFS is investigated. The result of experiment shows that the PFS made has better getting degree and stability when n rang is 1.30~1.35. The coagulant has high rate of the turbidity when the pH value of the solution is 8~9, the dosage(Fe3+) is 2~5 mg/L and alkalization of PFS is 7%~14% in flocculating experiment by PFS made for the flotation waste water. The lowest turbidity of treated water is 5NTU when the pH value is 8.5, the dosage is 3mg/L and alkalization is 7.5%. The coagulant has high rates of the COD and turbidity removal when the pH value of the solution is 8.5~9, the dosage (Fe3+) is 40~50mg/L and alkalization of PFS is 11%~12.5% in treating landfill leachate by the made PFS.
