Along with the rise of wastewater treatment ratio, the sludge output is increasing continually. The sewage sludge component is complex.Many kinds of bacteria, virus and parasites are parasitism on organic matter which is rich in sewage sludge.The organic matter also concentrates the virulent organic compound as well as heavy metal compound containing zinc, copper, lead, cadmium and so on.If we cannot dispose these pollutants properly, they will cause a series of serious environment questions. So it has the important theoretical and practical significance to find safe, efficient and economical treatment technology to realize the sludge reduction , detoxification and utilization.In view of complex structure and changeable characteristic of sewage sludge, this paper has developed a research on the new technology using microwave to pyrolysize sewage sludge.This paper investigated the temperature evolutiion during microwave treatment wet and dry sludge. The capabilities of activated carbon, Fe2O3, SiC and charry sludge to absorb microwave energy were studied.When the sludge mixed with four assistant matirals mationed above during microwave pyrolysis, we analysed the influence from the input power of microwave,the amount of microwave absorber and sludge mass on the pyrolysis of sewage sludge.According to influencing factors , orthogonal experiments were designed to determine the preferred pyrolysis plan of sludge under different conditions. The volume and weight reduction of sludge were compared with under different plans. This paper also analysed the pH value, studied the heavy metal leaching situation of charry sludge and discussed the immobilization mechanism of heavy metal.The researches showed: if just the raw wet sludge was treated in the microwave, only drying of the sample took place. Similar to the wet sludge,the dry sludge also could not rise to 300℃.
