With the development of membrane technology, composite ceramic membranes attract much attention. This paper studies the preparation of Al2O3-ZrO2 composite ceramic microfiltration membranes by means of solid-state particles sintering method, in order to provide necessary foundations for studying multi-component composite ceramic microfiltration membranes. This paper studied the preparation of composite microfiltration membrane with 20% zirconia mass content, and systemically studied some factors which influenced the composite membrane preparation, such as the support, dip-coating time, sintering program and so on. It showed that the narrower the support pore size distribution, the easier the fact that crack-free membrane could be prepared. The thickness of membrane increased linearly with the square root of the dip-coating time. With increase of sintering temperature, the average pore size of membrane increased, but the pure water flux increased firstly and then decreased. Dwelling time had small effect on average pore size of membrane, and the pure water flux changed little if the dwelling time exceeded 60min. The average pore size of composite membrane was about 0.48μm, and the pure water flux was about 4208L·m-2·h-1. Surface and cross-sectional SEM images showed that composite membrane surface was smooth and the membrane thickness was about 25μm. EDX analysis showed that the membrane was composed by two kinds of ceramic particles. In the process of preparing ceramic microfiltration membranes by solid-state particles sintering method, the sintering temperature is very important, especially for preparing composite ceramic microfiltration membranes. This paper studied the influence of sintering temperature on preparing composite membranes with different zirconia mass contents, explored the sintering process of Al2O3-ZrO2 symmetric membranes with different zirconia mass contents. The results showed that composite membranes with different zirconia mass contents can not be prepared at the same sintering temperature. With increase of zirconia mass content, the temperature at...
