The importance of chirality, means of obtaining chiral compounds, the history, current station, and application of catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenation were briefly reviewed. The role of ligands in catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenation reactions and their classification were elucidated.The synthetic route of SEGPhos-type ligands was improved through our ceaseless investigation. We used a bisphosphine intermediate as the starting materials to synthesize a series of new chiral diphosphine ligands L1-L3. Severalα-keto esters were synthesized as the substrates to investigate the asymmetric hydrogenation with our ligands. The main contents include:1. Arbuzov Reaction catalyzed by NiCl2, lithiation of the phosphine oxide monomers with LDA, oxidative coupling with FeCl3, Optical resolution with (-)-DBTA ( (-)-2, 3-O, O'–dibenzoyl tartaric acid) as resolving agent, followed by reducuction with HSiCl3, the ligands such as...
