| To plan the needed of human being's sitting posture, man had invented various seats. There were lots of seats having satisfactory condition or appearance, practicable function, meeting the human engineering, and meeting the mechanics of living body. As one of the most important furniture in our daily life or work place, seats had very high utilization ratio and importance. At the same time, according to different groups, seats had close relationship with bodies' structure, function and size. Because living and work with rapid pace of metropolitan life, most of office workers had to continuously sit on seats and keep single position for their jobs. The long-time and uncorrected sitting posture caused lots of problem, such as sore of hip and waist, slipped disc, and curvature of the spine. Recent research conducted that various seat would support different sitting posture. A nice seat would not only relieve human fatigue, but also corrected the wrong sitting posture. For a long period, people could not find or develop a radical way to solve the problem of using a specific seat to correct the wrong sitting posture of life or work. People were still suffering the spine illness caused by wrong sitting posture. Therefore , this study was based on anthropotomy and ergonomics, the purpose was to change the curves of the seat. We should also do some experiments to prove the rationality of the designed seat, such as spinal mouse, pressure distribution. The final purpose was to keep the lumbar to lean forward, not backward, at the same time to keep the spine line near the normal situation just as we standed up, to keep the pelvis stable, and to have rational pressure distribution. Finally, the designed seat was applied to prevent from spine illness or to cure spine illness and helped people have good habit of sitting.First of all, we analyzed people's long-time uncorrected sitting posture and indicated some of the reasons of the mistake, such as working table or design problems of seat. In the research, we investigated different working seats allaround the world, figured out some advantages and disadvantages of different seats, some problems of these seats, and some issues could be improved. After grasping those information, we conducted some essential factor of health sitting posture based on analysis of human spine biomechanics and pelvic anatomical structure, and also came up with some reasonable ideas of seat surface shape design. From the primary idea to the last result, we recorded all the steps of design and manufacture procedure, including building working seat model and tested the seat by spinal mouse and pressure distribution. In the test, we picked 3-8 different normal working seats from office, and compared with the seat designed by our research group. We recorded the different spine curves of people sitting on the normal seats and our seat to find out our seat had the advantages that kept forward thrust of the waist spine. On the other hand, we also tested the pressure distribution of these seats and to verify our seats' pressure distribution was reasonable.After we finished a series of contrast verification test, the seat designed by our research group was fitting the essential design factors that were indicated above, and also we found some insufficient could be improved in the future research. After all, this research considered people's spine healthy under tense working condition; second, it filled the research gap of using seats to correct the wrong sitting posture; the third but not the last, it provided lots of useful basis for design biomechanics and human engineering in our country's furniture industry. |
