In order to reduce the initial investment of submarine pipeline, make sure the submarine pipeline run safely and economically, we must contrast each design project and confirm the pipe parameter of design and running before putting the pipeline into production. The thermal system need consummate experiment data as its gist and validate the pipeline's running state and soil temperature field in different condition. However, it is hard to carry out testing for the submarine pipeline's temperature fields in the locale before putting the pipeline into production.According above situation, the paper has analyzed the heat transfer of stable and shutdown process of submarine oil pipeline. By boundary hypothesis, physical model has been established.pipeline heat transfer experiment equipment has been designed and established based on the heat transfer and simulation theory. The equipment can simulates all kinds of shutdown situation of submarine oil pipeline, such as seawater temperature, seawater flow rate, crude oil temperature, pipeline radius and the thickness of the insulation layer, it also can timely inspect the surround temperature field distributing of the submarine oil pipeline and the temperature change of the medium in pipeline.Based on the established experiment equipment of submarine oil pipeline transportation, some parameters, as stable soil temperature field and the level thermal influence zone, shutdown oil temperature field and shutdown temperature drop of medium etc, are tested by the thermal testing way, and the parameters are auto collected by computer. By experiment data dealt and analyzed for experiment image, obtain the main effect factors of submarine oil pipelines , the level thermal influence zone and allowed shutdown time are determined under different running condition. Otherwise, with different apparent density and moisture content of sea sand, the effective thermal conductivity and effective specific heat are tested by quasi-steady state method, which provide the relevant parameters for numerical calculation of submarine oil pipline.The simulation experiment study can provide testified parameters for technical design and numerical calculation of submarine oil pipeline, which can testify and perfect the model and can provide the fact foundation for forecasting the safe shutdown time of submarine oil pipeline.
