In the paper, we studied to recycle Mo and Cu from molybdenum floatation tailings. The capacity of copper concentrate is up to 5000 tons yearly in Jin Dui Cheng Molybdenum Group Ltd., and the content of Mo is 0.5-1.3% in the copper concentrate.The floatability of the molybdenum ore in the copper concentrate is very bad. The surface of the part of ores is badly oxide.Through the analysis of liberation degree, the liberation degree of molybdenum is low, only 23.18%, and the content of carbon is high up to 9.93%. Moreover, the molybdenite is closely intergrowth with quartz, chalcopyrite, chalcocite, pyrite, galena and zinc blende. It is difficult to recover all value metals comprehensively.The recommended floatation circuit is to regrind the copper concentrate, then one roughing, three scavenging and seven cleaning is adoptd to get floatation concentrate. Using "xid-3", the chlorination leaching agent, to lixiviate the floatation concentrate to gain leaching concentrate, then to roast the leaching concentrate, finally, to gain baking powder from molybdenum concentrate. The yield, concentrate capacity rate, grade and recovery of baking powder is 1.92%, 43.13%, 79.39% respectively. At the same time, to replace sponge copper with iron powder, the replacement rate is more than 95%. After replacement, to oxide the mother solution with chlorine, we can get FeCl3, which can be recycled and reused. The craft is advanced and up to the world level.The output values will exceed 12 million yuan, and the gross profit will more than 8000 thousand yuan.
