In recent years, based on the rapid development of the global economy, the demand of the zinc ingot, one of the main fundamental materials of the national economic construction, increase progressively at 13.7% of the speeds every year. According to the experts, although the resources reserves of zinc ranks first in China, at the speed of 15 ~ 20% of increased requirement per year, it can only sustain for 6 ~ 8 years. What's more, in Midwest of our country about one third of these resources belong to high-iron sphalerites, in which we can not separate zinc from iron completely by using the current beneficiation method. With the high level of iron content, they are difficult to utilize directly in wet metallurgy. And most imported raw materials are also hard to use because of the high impurity and severe pollution. Therefore, for the zinc hydrometallurgy enterprise, it is high time to exploit and utilize the high-iron sphalerites. The roasted ore produced by the fluidized roasting of high-iron sphalerites characterized by high soluble iron and low soluble zinc and is not applicable in wet metallurgy. Aiming to solve this problem, based on the mature processes and technical conditions of the fluidized roasting of zinc concentrate, a study of the variation of the content of soluble iron and soluble zinc was carried out in this paper by changing the technical conditions, such as furnace temperature, ratio of the gas/feed, gas pressure at the exit, composition of the furnace charge and roasting time.
