NOx was one of main air pollutants, and was the important factor which resulted in secondary pollutants like acid rain and photochemical smog in urban scale. How to eliminate the pollution and improve the city air quality constituted our most urgent problem. The corona discharge and the photocatalytic method were new treatment of NOx in recent years. Removal rate was increased and energy consumption was reduced by the combination of the two methods.Corona discharge was used to produce the high-energy electron and the free radical. Meanwhile the ultraviolet ray produced by the corona discharge was used to stimulate the TiO2 photocatalyst in nanometer on the surface of filler material, thus increased removal rate, and finally NOx was converted into HNOx which was easily absorbed. Wire-tube reactor was used in the experiment, the influences caused by the main structure parameters including structure of reactor and the grounding electrodes were analyzed; through changing the main operational parameters including voltage, the NOx initial concentration and the flow rate in the inlet of reactor the removal rate were analyzed; the influences on removal rate caused by the ozone viscosity and the TiO2 photocatalyst in nanometer on the surface of filler material analyzed were also analyzed.The experimental result indicated that, under the same experimental condition, the removal rate was higher with the improved reactor structure; under ordinary conditions, the removal rate of NOx was increased as the elevated voltage and decreased as the rise in NOx initial concentration and the flow rate; the high air humidity was unused for the ozone, the photocatalyst has the inhibited effect on the ozone; under the certain condition, the filler material loaded by TiO2 photocatalyst in nanometer elevated removal rate; there was an discovery in experiment, when small fillers were used, the discharge points was increased in reactor, N2 in air was oxidized into NOx under 15kv.
