Neotame is a new high-intensity sweetener. It is 7000-13000 times as sweet as sucrose, it provides zero calories; Neotame offers salient qualities, for example, it is compatible with a broad range of foods and food ingredients, it has unique flavour-enhancing proporties. Neotame outstandingly meets the five basic criteria requisite for commercial viability of a nonutritive sweetener, namely, taste, solubility, stability, safety and cost, it is of the highest rank and the latest research fingdings of investigation of sweetenrs. It should become the sweetener of choice in food industry.The article puts forward and probes into the feasible way to synthesis NTM on the view of industrial production and it studys the synthetic route and the reaction condition. NTM is synthesized from the tertbutyl alcohol by three steps. At first, tert-butyl chloride is obtained from the tertbutyl alcohol, it reacts with ethylene to produce l-Cl-3,3-dimethylbutane(CDMB); then, CDMB reacts with dimethyl sulfoxide to produce 3,3-dimethylbutanal(DMBA); finally, DMBA reacts with Aspartame to get NTM.The optimum reaction conditions and the optimum synthetic route are obtained. On this condition, the coversion rate of tertbutyl alcohol to get DMBA reaches 34%; It decides the optimum reaction conditions under hydrogen gas pressure to produce NTM, on this condition, the coversion rate of Aspartame reaches 76%, the result is better than the foreign level. It finds out a new method for industrially synthesis DMBA and Neotame. The physical properties and the spectral analysis of the product of tert-butyl chloride, CDMB, DMBA and Neotame are the same as the standard.It studys the preparation, evaluation, regeneration of the Pt/C catalyst and recovery methods of Palladium from waste catalysts. It decides the optimum process flow and the optimum preparation parameters by the investigation of the preparation flow and preparation parameters, the catalyst is better than the foreign level.
