In this article, fullerene-like molybdenum disulfide (IF-MoS2) hollow spheres were synthesized through spray drying method. Furthermore, MoS2 based films were prepared using the magnetron sputtering method, including MoS2/WS2 composite film and Ni/MoS2/WS2 composite film. The composite microstructure and morphology were analyzed, and the tribological properties of the films were tested.Multiple IF-MoS2 hollow spheres were synthesized through spray drying method. The molybdenum trisulphide (MoS3) precursor, which was prepared by the mixed solution of ammonium molybdate ((NH4)2MoO4) and ammonium disulfide ((NH4)2S) with a spray drying method, was desulphurized at 850°C in a mixture of hydrogen and argon, and subsequently multiple IF-MoS2 hollow spheres were obtained. The samples were identified and characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), field-emission scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and high-resolution...
