Polyethersulfone (PES) has been used in the preparation of microflltraton and ultrafitration membranes as membrane forming material, which exhibited good chemical stability and biocompatibility. In the membrane forming process, a membrane with an asymmetry and porous structure was obtained by using suitable solvents, additives and forming conditions. A new method of modification of PES membrane in recent years was incorporated functional particles into PES matrix, which made PES membrane more selectively.Hybrid membranes were prepared by a phase separation method, using PES as membrane matrix material, anion exchange resin D201 and cation exchange resin D061 as functional particles, NMP as solvent, PEG-400 and PVP as complex additives. Several factors affection formation and characteristics of the hybrid membrane (concentration of polymer and additives, temperature of casting solution and coagulation bath, et al) were studied. The membranes with asymmetry morphology had high pure water flux and showed high BSA rejection. The performances of D061/PES hybrid membranes were better than that of D201/PES hybrid membranes, and the amounts of BSA static adsorption was 44.5 mg BSA/g membrane (dry).D061/PES hollow fiber hybrid membranes were prepared by the dry-wet spinning process. The effects of PES concentration, amounts of resin incorporated, kinds and amounts of additives on the morphology and characteristics were studied. In the process of extruding, the incorporation of resin particles resulted in defaults on the inner surface of the hollow fiber hybrid membrane, and that led to lower BSA rejection. However, when added PEG-400 and PVP as complex additives, the skin of fiber inner surface become thicker, the pore size of outer surface become porous, and the amount of BSA static adsorption was 20.64mg BSA/g membrane (dry).
